Concerned Parents of SLLUnited States
5 Jun 2024

On June 5, 2024 Concerned Parents of SLL collected over 250 signatures in less than 12 hours via a Change.org petition expressing solidarity with condemning bullying and demanding accountability and actions to restore the integrity of our little league.

~30-40 Concerned Parents of SLL attended a public meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Springfield Township Parks & Recreation Department. They made statements sharing the events of May 18th and subsequent actions and inactions of the board leaders of SLL and also made requests of the Committee to assist in encouraging the Board of the SLL to respond to this issue. We were heard and taken seriously; the Committee and Commissioners present advised on next steps.

There are THREE recommended actions to continue momentum toward forcefully condemning toxic adult bullying and restoring trust, transparency, and integrity of Springfield Little League:

  1. Attend the Board of Commissioners Workshop Meeting on Monday, June 10th at 7:30PM at the Township Administrative Building. The meeting starts at 7PM but the commissioners recommend arriving at 7:30PM, after the engineering report. Come in-person to show your support and, if you are willing, to share brief verbal testimony expressing your concern for this issue.
  2. Submit written public comment into the record for the Workshop Meeting by emailing Commissioners James Lee, Susanna Ratsavong, and Brendan May (jlee@springfieldmontco.org, sratsavong@springfieldmontco.org, bmay@springfieldmontco.org)
  3. Anonymously report your experience with bullying, toxicity, or inappropriate behavior in your interactions with Springfield Little League. Please share your story anonymously by filling out this form, which will be shared with Springfield Township Commissioners as part of their due diligence and consideration of proper next steps for Springfield Little League.

Thanks for your support and collective action to create positive change for our children, our community, and our Little League.
