American Legion is not listening to their members. Texas has adopted a state resolution, Chairman Mike Bost' own district American Legion sent him an email after unanimous vote they are against this bill. Several American Legion post around the country are speaking out, but DC leadership continues to push this bill.

Congress is being told that DC leadership support from The American Legion, MOAA, AMVETS, and Wounded Warrior Project means veterans support TCAVA.
That is false.
American Legion Post 58 in Belleville, Illinois (Rep. Mike Bost) own constituents voted unanimously to oppose TCAVA Section 108 and reject the National Commander’s support for H.R. 9237 as currently written.
Their message was direct:
“He does not speak for us.”
Now we need Congress to hear from EVERYONE.
H.R. 9237 is NOT the original Major Richard Star Act.
The House locked TCAVA under a closed rule. No normal amendment can remove Section 108, fix the 50% ceiling, fix the “lesser of” language, or restore the real H.R. 2102.
“Pass it now and let the Senate fix it later” is not good enough.
