The American Legion, MOAA, and Wounded Warrior Project are supporting or negotiating around TCAVA despite language that would reduce the existing disability retirement ceiling from 75% to 50%.

That would reduce the wounded warrior tax, not end it.

The bill’s “lesser of” formula would hit medically retired veterans with DoD disability ratings above 50% and longer years of service the hardest.

Should we continue giving our money and public support to organizations willing to accept a lower retirement ceiling, VA benefit reductions, or other veteran-funded offsets?

This is not an attack on their members. It is a demand for accountability from the leaders negotiating in their names.

VSO leadership needs to know we do not stand with their “pass it now, fix it later” positions.

I support ending the wounded warrior tax, not shifting the cost onto approximately 1.5 million disabled veterans.

No 50% cap.
No VA cuts.
No wounded veterans paying for wounded veterans.
Restore H.R. 2102.
