Wicker Wednesdays – Updated Plan
We are kicking off a new advocacy strategy.
Every Wednesday from now until Senator Wicker allows a vote on the Major Richard Star Act will be “Wicker Wednesday.”
WE WILL NOT:
• Threaten or harass anyone
• Break Facebook or X terms of service
WE WILL:
• Every Wednesday, go to his latest Facebook and X posts
• Leave a short, respectful comment that includes:
https://medium.com/@majorstaract_16738/roger-wickers-tupelo-legacy-billboards-broken-promises-and-54-000-veterans-6a755c1a2640
#WickerWednesday #MajorStarAct
Add one sentence in your own words (how this affects you, why you support the bill, or what you want him to do). That keeps our comments human and hard to dismiss as “spam.”
There are almost 2,000 supporters here. Even if 25 of us give 2 minutes every Wednesday, this message will keep spreading.
If you are blocked or your comment disappears:
• Take a screenshot and note the date and time
• If you get a “page not found” or error when you visit:
take a screenshot or short screen recording
• Email everything to: MajorStarAct@gmail.com
I have already submitted a detailed request to the Senate Select Committee on Ethics about Senator Wicker’s conduct on the Major Richard Star Act and reports of people being blocked after raising this issue. We are continuing to compile reports in case civil liberties and ethics organizations need further documentation.
The law (very short):
The Supreme Court’s 2024 decision in Lindke v. Freed says that when public officials use social media accounts to do official business, blocking people because of their viewpoint raises serious First Amendment concerns. More here:

See you this Wicker Wednesday.
