Petition Update

I want to share something powerful with everyone following this fight.

Momentum continues to build, and based on the current growth, the most realistic projection for Thanksgiving Week is now:

4,400 – 6,000 supporters expected

This community is the reason that’s possible.

We now have 85 promoters, and supporters have contributed $1,465 to help keep this petition visible. Every contribution pushes this message into new timelines and communities that would never hear about what medically retired combat-injured veterans are living with.

But here’s something many people don’t realize:

PassTheAct.org has already changed the conversation in Mississippi in a huge way.

They funded billboards in Tupelo and Jackson —

real, physical billboards seen by thousands of cars every single day.

And the most important part:

These billboards were paid for entirely out-of-pocket by wounded combat veterans.

They didn’t wait for anyone.

They didn’t ask permission.

They didn’t rely on politics.

They took their own injuries, their own pain, their own lived experience — and turned it into real-world awareness.

That’s the kind of heart and determination behind this movement.

If you want to learn more or support their awareness mission, you can do so here:

Thank you for standing with us.

Thank you for sharing this story.

And thank you to the wounded combat veterans who have already brought this issue into the public eye in Mississippi through their own sacrifice and determination.
