The Issue
The above is why this petition matters for the future of Canada.
On February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin and the Russian Federation further invaded Ukraine, threatening the West with nuclear bombs if NATO or anyone interfered in their deliberate genocide of the people of Ukraine.
The Government of Canada introduced the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program, financial sanctions, eventually provided military support, humanitarian aid and work with other countries to pressure Putin, Russia and Russians to end the war.
Canada, however, never did this.
Expel Russian diplomats from our nation.
In May 2024, Prime Minister Trudeau told reporters expelling diplomats was “a big step, not a small step. “It’s one that has to be taken with due consideration on all the potential impacts.” Back in 2022, apparently the logic was to keep the lines of communication open.
As for the last 868 days, these Russian war criminal diplomats in Canada have continued to earn a living, travel freely in the Capital and across the country, and pump out social media lies and disinformation that discredit not just Ukrainians, but any supporter of Ukraine, rule of law and democracy - including millions of Canadians across the country.
Then the aggressor did the unthinkable again.
A deliberately aimed and armed Russian missile hit a main children's hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine's Capital the day before a NATO leaders summit on July 8, 2024. Typical and symbolic of war on the part of Putin and Russia to send a message to NATO - using the backs and faces of sick children in Ukraine - to underscore the aggressor's purported power.

Its time.
Canada must expel every single Russian diplomat from our country.
All of them.
Empty the embassy and consulates, clear out the red-licenced cars, strip them of any diplomatic privileges and functions or perks they have.
Send them home to sign up for the illegal war they created, manifested and propagated.
Expel them today Prime Minister.
