Expel Israel from the UN for Violating International Law by Invoking RESOLUTION 337(A)

Expel Israel from the UN for Violating International Law by Invoking RESOLUTION 337(A)
The Issue
We Must Act:
We, the undersigned, are deeply troubled by Israel's ongoing violations of international law and human rights. This petition urges the United Nations to expel Israel from the UN. In order to do so, it will be necessary to invoke resolution 337 A (V) and Article 6. The UN Charter describes article 337A (V) [1] as such:
"1. Resolves that if the Security Council, because of lack of unanimity of the permanent members, fails to exercise its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security in any case where there appears to be a threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression, the General Assembly shall consider the matter immediately with a view to making appropriate recommendations to Members for collective measures, including in the case of a breach of the peace or act of aggression the use of armed force when necessary, to maintain or restore international peace and security. If not in session at the time, the General Assembly may meet in emergency special session within twenty-four hours of the request therefore. Such emergency special session shall be called if requested by the Security Council on the vote of any seven members, or by a majority of the Members of the United Nations;
2. Adopts for this purpose the amendments to its rules of procedure set forth in the annex to the present resolution;
Further, it will be necessary to invoke Article 6 of the UN Charter [2] that explicitly states, “A Member of the United Nations who has persistently violated the Principles contained in the present Charter may be expelled from the Organization by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.” "Israel from its membership due to its persistent disregard for the principles upon which the organization was founded.

ISRAEL'S VIOLATIONS:
Undermining UN Authority:
Israel has repeatedly obstructed UN investigations, attacked UN personnel, and disregarded UN resolutions.
Ethnic Cleansing and Land Seizures:
Israel's policies in the occupied territories violate Palestinians' rights and constitute ethnic cleansing, as recognized by the UN's special rapporteur.

Escalating Regional Tensions:
The recent bombing of the Iranian embassy in Syria, a clear violation of the Vienna Convention, exemplifies Israel's disregard for international norms and its tendency to escalate regional tensions.
https://press.un.org/en/2024/sc15650.doc.htm
Genocide Concerns:
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has recognized the plausibility of genocide against Palestinians, further highlighting the gravity of the situation. [1]
A UN Special Rapporteur, Francesca Albanese drafted a report titled "Anatomy of a Genocide" further confirming the ICJ's provisional ruling. [2]

Consequences of Inaction:
Genocide: Israel has demonstrated through its actions and statements from senior government spokesmen that it intends to ethnically cleanse Gaza and the West Bank and establish permanent settlements there. Israel's actions brazenly defy the UN charter and Israel's flagrant disregard for UN resolutions is grounds for expulsion.
Erosion of International Law: The UN's silence on Israel's actions undermines the very foundation of international law and empowers other nations to act with impunity.
Increased Risk of War: Israel's aggressive actions raise the specter of a wider regional conflict with devastating consequences.
Our Demands:
1.) The UN General Assembly convene an emergency session to address Israel's violations and invoke resolution 337 A (V) and Article 6 should the US Veto another urgently needed resolution.
2.) The UN hold a vote in the General Assembly to expel Israel from its membership for repeated and flagrant violations of the UN Charter and international law.
Call to Action:
Sign this petition and raise your voice for accountability! Let us stand together and urge the UN to take decisive action and expel Israel as a member to uphold its principles and protect human rights.
