This plea comes from a deeply personal place, driven by the firm belief that we as a species, the human race, have reached a level of intelligence that should encompass compassion and humane practice.

The Surrey Cow, Beau Lucy, was disgracefully, and harmfully treated on the evening on the 14th June 2024. After wondering from her field, split from her herd she was purposefully, and repeatedly hit with a UK Surrey Police vehicle at speed and thrown 30 feet upon collision. Excuses are rearing and justifications being made, when in fact this is completely inexcusable. 

Unfortunately, we witness those in positions of power and authority committing acts of animal cruelty. Such behavior is not only a devastating threat to animal life but also derails the progress of our collective ethical intelligence and the necessity of positive role modeling. We are advocating for the expulsion of individuals responsible for animal abuse from their posts of power and authority. The indiscriminate exercise of power showcases a profound lack of empathy, harming us as a humane society. It is high time to impose stringent accountability requirements for people in such influential positions. We demand immediate action to uphold justice for the innocent and voiceless. Not tomorrow, next month, or next year—but now. Add your signature to champion the rights of animals and to insist that those committing such heinous acts be held legally and ethically accountable.
