Expel Caiden Riley from Parkway South Middle School

Expel Caiden Riley from Parkway South Middle School
The Issue
Growing up in Ballwin, MO, has had its ups and downs, but nothing prepared me for the injustice Brooklyn faced. She was the only one brave enough to stand up to Caiden Riley, a student who has been bullying not just me but many other girls for the past 3-9 years. In a shocking twist of fate, instead of receiving the protection she deserved, she was expelled from Parkway South Middle School while Caiden continues to attend.
This is not just her story; it’s ours too. Numerous students, particularly girls, have suffered at the hands, messages and words of Caiden Riley. The environment in our school should be safe and nurturing, but it turns hostile with every unchecked behavior by Caiden. By expelling Brooklyn instead of dealing with the real issue, the school administration has failed us.
Data from the National Center for Educational Statistics shows that 20% of students report being bullied each year. Bullying has serious implications on mental health, leading to depression and anxiety, which makes it crucial for schools to act justly and swiftly.
We urge the Parkway South Middle School & District administration to reconsider their decision and focus on creating a safe educational environment. This includes re-evaluating their decision about my friend’s expulsion and taking appropriate action against Caiden Riley.
Sign this petition to make our voices heard. Let's bring justice for Brooklyn and all other students who have been wronged by bullying. It's time for a change. Let's make Parkway South Middle School a place where every student feels secure.
