The average time an inmate spends on death row in the US is approximately 20+years, a timeline bringing additional anguish to those affected. Our objective through this petition is to expedite the death row execution process to within ten years of sentencing.

Fast-tracking this process could also potentially ease the financial strain on the state, considering that maintaining an inmate on death row costs the taxpayer approximately $90,000 more per year than for general population inmates (Death Penalty Information Center).
