Bring Year-Round Indoor Tennis to Halifax’s Peninsula

For tennis enthusiasts in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the peninsula lacks one important thing: year-round indoor tennis.  Many of us have experienced firsthand how difficult it is to play consistently through our harsh winters. Our community wants to stay active, but current indoor court availability cannot meet the demand. 

Both indoor tennis facilities in Halifax are at capacity, limiting access and preventing more people from enjoying this lifelong sport. Tennis supports physical and mental health, builds community, and can be enjoyed at any age.

Headstart tennis has submitted a proposal to the city of Halifax to invest in our community  by establishing  a seasonal indoor tennis facility at the Goresebrook location.

By signing this petition you are joining us in asking the City of Halifax to prioritize the addition of the four planned tennis courts at Gorsebrook Park and allocate funding for their construction in the 2027-28 fiscal year.
