The Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain has done an extraordinary job both in trying to contain the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and, perhaps more importantly, in trying to address its impact, particularly in terms of protecting economic growth.
This has earned the Kingdom international praise and recognition.
Most recently, the Kingdom announced the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to unify all national efforts to avert the spread of the global outbreak of COVID-19 in Bahrain and protect the health and safety of citizens and residents. Following the royal directives, a BD4.3 billion (USD11.5 billion) stimulus package was launched to protect economic growth.
The single largest component of any individual’s monthly expense, for both citizens and residents, is rent.
This petition is to call on His Majesty the King to help both citizens and residents of the Kingdom, particularly those most affected, either through infection, quarantine, or lost business due to necessary precautions, by the COVID-19 outbreak to meet their rent obligations, both commercial and residential.
This generous Royal gesture will go a long way to further reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a global leader in addressing the global COVID-19 outbreak.
