📢 QUICK UPDATE — WE'RE STILL WORKING ON THIS

We wanted to let everyone who has supported this effort know that this issue is very much still active. Our petition now has 246 signatures on Change.org and 126 responses on our Google community survey — 372 supporters in total. ❤️ While things may be quieter publicly right now, there is a lot happening behind the scenes. Parents and students are continuing to organize, we're gathering firsthand information about the actual lunch experience at RIHS, and our concerns have reached district leadership. We're also building our parent/student advocacy committee and researching practical solutions to the concerns we've raised — including menu variety, food availability, long wait times, and making sure students have enough time to actually eat during the single lunch period. This is not a dead issue, and we are not walking away. We know meaningful change takes time, and we're committed to continuing this conversation with Banta Unified and advocating for RIHS students.
