I am deeply moved to start this petition due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. It is my belief that a country involved in such a dispute should not participate in an event like the Eurovision Song Contest, which was established with peace and unity at its core.

In 2024, it was evident that the Israeli delegation team engaged in actions that were contrary to the spirit of the contest. They teased, taunted, and forced narratives on their competitors - actions unbecoming of participants in a contest meant for harmony and mutual respect.

The Eurovision Song Contest was created as a means to bring nations together through music after World War II. Its founding principles are unity and peace among nations (source: Official ESC History), values which are currently being undermined by allowing participation from countries embroiled in conflicts.

There seems to be special treatment for Israel this year. This is not about singling out one nation but ensuring fairness, respect for all participants, and upholding the foundational values of this prestigious event.

If nothing changes ahead of Eurovision 2025, we foresee a boycott by many who value justice over spectacle. We must act now! Please join me in calling upon The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) - organizers of The Eurovision Song Contest - to exclude Israel from participating until they align with the peaceful ethos that underpins this competition.
