Introduction of a Department for Environmental Affairs and Introduction of Environmental and Animal Welfare Ministry into Office.

Introduction of a Department for Environmental Affairs and Introduction of Environmental and Animal Welfare Ministry into Office.
The issue
Liberia has to date no current laws or even a department in place to protect both environment, animals, waterways, forest or animal protection laws. Say No To Dog Meat - Australian registered organisation must set the ball rolling to now bring Liberia into line with its neighboring countries. Failing to adopt or even create such laws or departments will only see wildlife and our environment suffer along with the pet meat trade continuing.
When signing the following petition your signature will automatically generate an email to the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs with the letter outlined below.
Say No To Dog Meat is currently compiling a full docket with mandate and laws that we believe must be brought into place to bring Liberia into line with all fifty four African countries. Failing this Liberia will eventually lose her wildlife, trees and waterways and be seen as a country falling way behind others. The time to act is now.
Open letter addressed to Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf - President of Liberia.

Re: Introduction and Creation of a Department of Environmental Affairs and Introduction of Environmental and Animal Welfare Ministry into Office.
Dear Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
Say No To Dog Meat's Board of Directors please ask at the next general meeting for you and your Honorable Minsters to please consider implementing a Department of Environmental Affairs with laws introduced to protect both animals and environment.
Liberia's surrounding countries such as Ghana already have such departments, protocols and laws in place to protect both land, marine, waterways and animals. Liberia hasn't no laws or even an established department in place to protect our land, waterways or animals both domestic, wild or, within the live stock trade.
Throughout your entire career you have demonstrated both passion and commitment, good governance and the importance of education, gender equality, peace and women's rights. Gaining a Nobel Peace Prize, Grand Croix of the Légion d’Honneur, Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development and Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor bestowed by an American President. We have strong faith in yourself to consider establishing laws and governance for Liberia's non-human beings and, environment too.
A petition and mandate politely calling on yourself and Honorable Government will be hand delivered into the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs in due course outlining the above and, its importance to bring welfare to animals, better standards of care to livestock and, protection laws for animals and the environment.
Sincerely
Board of Directors
