***Names and faces have not been included. I do not want to get the petition taken down for violating privacy rights of a minor. And my intent is not for violence to be promoted, only just action from school admins or the T.E.A.****

A lindale high school student, a white girl, was pictured dressed as a cop, kneeling on someone's neck, while he and her held up a black power fist... All with a smile on her face.

This is disrespectful in so many ways. Not only does this mock the death of George Floyd, but it is an attack against the black community. Additionally, it completely mocks the Black Lives Matter Movement.

Police Brutality is NOT  a joke. She has also been quoted saying how she believes the Black Lives Matter movement exaggerates their suffering.

It should also be noted that mocking the BLM movement was exactly her intention, coming from a source who was at the scene. 

She attends Lindale High School, and while the authorities and school administrators have been notified, BUT THEY HAVE YET TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

They released a statement, and they claimed they could not do anything about it. However, according to their code of conduct, they CAN do something about it. They seem to pick and choose who gets reprimanded, and this is not okay.

By mocking the BLM movement, she has mocked all of the black lives that were taken at the hands of law enforcement.This is not okay.

She must be punished for her actions. If the Lindale School Board will not recognize that, then we must take action ourselves to get our voice heard.

Justice must be served. With the proper number of signatures, I will take this to the Lindale Administrators. If action is not taken, I will take this further to the NAACP and the Texas Board of Education. Then, both  the student in question and Lindale ISD will be held accountable. 

Additionally, as a graduate of Lindale High School, I, like so many others, have witnessed too many accounts of racism and bigotry go on in this school. They have gotten swept under the rug. It is time the school themselves be held accountable for their actions. 

Furthermore, since these actions go directly against the Extracurricular Code of Conduct, we are asking that the school not only push Biggar, but that they release a public statement denouncing racism and all other forms of discrimination. They need to make it clear that actions like this will not go unpunished.

I have chosen to not include her name of face due to privacy reasons.

**** I would like to note that no matter what happens, I do not condone any violence towards this individual or the people involved. Violence is not the goal. Our goal is justified punishment, and for her and the admins at Lindale to be held accountable for their actions and/or lack thereof. Please do not try to contact her or her family in anyway with threats, complaints, or hateful messages. Nor should you contact the LISD admins with hateful intent. Rather contact them as a concerned outsider in a respectful way. Violence may cause our whole case to be falsified.
