Bluefin tuna is a type of fish that is very common in the world. The demand for this fish is increasing because more and more people love to eat them. However, since the demand is so high, Bluefin tuna is now listed as endangered species due to overfishing and illegal fishing by the fishermen. This is a threat to the aquatic ecosystem because Bluefin tuna is one of the top line predator in the food chain so the removal of this species can cause to the unbalance in the ocean environment. For example, the removal of Bluefin tuna can thrive the population of squid, leading to the dramatic decrease of sardine population. Also, Bluefin tuna only reproduce once a year so it makes this species even more vulnerable in the ocean. Even though they can lay about millions egg per year but not all of them can survive to adulthood. That is why we all need to protect Bluefin tuna population because the world is no longer want to see another extinction of any other species, thus we need to make the world a peaceful and a balance place for species in the ocean. It does not mean that we have to stop catching tuna, it means that we need to try our best reduce the amount of fish being caught as much as we can. #SAVETUNA
