NEXT OF KIN LAWS

Currently it stands that even if you are in the middle of a divorce and living with a new partner, when you pass away if your still legally married its down to them to sort out all of the arrangements, and your new partner is not allowed any information about where you are resting or how you passed, they are not allowed to be given any information about you yet you lived together as a married couple. This is so wrong and needs to change, I have called this Justines Law because five weeks ago I lost my best friend Justine to a sudden heart attack aged just 49. She had started divorce proceedings, left the marital home, moved in to a new home with her new partner and that's where she passed away. So she lived him, died in their home, but as soon as the police and coroner removed her body that night, all his rights went out of the window and he had to beg the police if he could have five minutes with her before they took her as he knew the estranged husband would close ranks and he was right the estranged husband did and even to the point of telling the funeral home not to release any information regarding her funeral, so that he wouldn't be able to attend his girlfriends funeral .

We want this law changed so that whom ever your living with when you pass away even if it's not the person your still legally married to then that person has just as many rights as the estranged husband or wife
