The Super Mario Bros. franchise consists of many different power ups and abilities but in the 1986 Mario Anime "Super Mario Bros.: Peach-Hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen!" there is a scene during the climax of the anime consisting of Mario getting distracted by a Sawed off shotgun. We believe that this Sawed off shotgun should become a power up or should at least be referenced in future instalments of the series.
