I have been lucky to go on a couple of holidays this year and unfortunately, every airline I’ve flown with recently, including, EasyJet, Flybe and Thomas Cook, do not have a recycling policy. I had plastic items on each flight, which I chose not to put into their waste bags due to this, but there where at least another 50 people on the flights that did.

When you think of the amount of flights that happen daily and the amount of recyclable waste they put into general waste that goes to general landfill, it is appalling. 

Airlines need to get involved in the massive war against plastic that the entire world is facing at the moment. We all love a holiday, but the carbon footprint we all leave is huge, so we need to do as much as possible to save our planet.

I want every airline that flies in and out of the UK to provide a recycling option on every flight. It’s not much to ask, just a separate bin bag for all recyclables, it’s that simple.
