No More Spraying Dandelions with Herbicide

No More Spraying Dandelions with Herbicide
The Issue
There are bees dying everywhere from a condition known as
Colony Collapse Disorder causing bee populations to plummet, which means our food and wild plants are at risk. In the United States alone, more than 25 percent of the managed honey bee population has disappeared since 1990 from the use of pesticides and herbicides and we continue to spray dandelions with herbicide for no apparent reason.
Bees are one of a myriad of other animals, including birds, bats, beetles, and butterflies, called pollinators. Pollinators transfer pollen and seeds from one flower to another, fertilizing the plant so it can grow and produce food. Cross-pollination helps at least 30% of the world’s crops and 90% of our wild plants to thrive. Without bees to spread seeds, many plants—including food crops—would die off.
Please let's save ourselves, our families and the bees by stopping scheduled spraying of dandelions in our communities. Every bit counts, spread the word and be the change :)
People everywhere can be the change too, right from their own homes, to help the bees and other wildlife from being poisoned right on our own lawns. Dandelions are flowers too, they are beautiful and bright and deserve to grow. They not only are needed for bees, beetles, birds and many other species but the leaves are edible too! Be the change and stop spraying herbicide on your lawn just so that it looks green. Yellow is the new green! Herbicide is genocide, let the dandelions bee!!!
There are people fighting for the ban of bee killing pesticides and herbicides so lets do our part and stop using them at home!
Let's make this city wide and stop the scheduled spraying of communities in Canadian cities. This is something easy we can all do to help the bees from dying and in turn helping the entire human race and our food crops to survive!
