The Issue

Faatima Osman is yet to apologise for the blatantly racist comments she made towards a fellow student during her tenure as Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Convenor.

When offered a chance to explain herself during the live EUSA presidential debate, she instead chose to levy further blame on the person she had insulted.

Had these incidents occurred against somebody of her own ethnicity, Faatima would be the first to lead the cause for their permanent expulsion from the University.

By allowing Faatima to stand, EUSA is implicitly endorsing her message of intolerance and racism. Nobody should be subject to abuse based on the colour of their skin.
