The Issue

The Eurovision Song Contest is an international song competition organised annually by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and featuring participants representing primarily European countries. Each participating country submits an original song to be performed on live television and radio, transmitted to national broadcasters via the EBU's Eurovision and Euroradio networks, with competing countries then casting votes for the other countries' songs to determine a winner.

After viewers have cast their votes by telephone, SMS or using the official app, each national spokesperson from the participating countries will be called in to present the points of their professional jury.

After the presentation of the scores from the juries, the televoting points from all participating countries will be combined, providing one score for each song. These televoting results will then be announced by the presenters.

The jury votes count 50%. This can make the whole results change after the televoting results are announced. For example in 2019 Norway won the televoting, while if it was up to the juries, they would not even have made it to the final.

The people should count 75% of the voting because a small group of people do not deserve the same power as millions of voters, and they don't always operate fairly.
