A call to action for SF Bay Area dog trainers, dog owners and veterinary professionals!

Thank you so much to the 6,835 dog lovers who have signed, shared, contributed, commented and reached out in support of opposing legislation to ban e collars. As San Francisco professional dog trainers, we are so grateful to have your support and we will continue to take action to fight legislation banning training tools in both San Francisco and New York.

The San Francisco Commission of Animal Control and Welfare has drafted their proposed legislation which you can find here, as well as a letter on their position to the San Francisco board of supervisors here.

This upcoming Thursday, November 10th at 5:30pm PT there will be a Commission of Animal Control & Welfare virtual meeting. I urge all San Francisco Bay Area dog trainers, veterinary professionals, dog owners, rescue advocates and those whose lives would be negatively impacted by this ban to attend. Now more than ever, it is important to speak up and state your opposition to this unfair legislation banning E Collars. City officials need to hear from San Francisco dog owners, professional dog trainers, rescue organizations and veterinary professionals about the ways e collars save lives, give dogs freedom to be off leash and safely managed, as well as keeping the community around them safe. I encourage you to email, write, or call the SF Board of Supervisors to voice your concerns in how this proposed legislation would impact you.
