The Estacada City Council has implemented a change to the upcoming city Police contract that would potentially cause an absence of up to 18 months of the Estacada School District's on campus School Resource Officer(S.R.O.). As a parent in the school district and fellow neighbor in the community, this is a concerning decision for the protection and safety of our children. We are asking the Estacada City Council and Mayor Sean Drinkwine with the cooperation of the Estacada School District to prioritize a solution that would keep the Children of the Estacada School District safe in the absense of the S.R.O.
