As a long-time fan of MatPat, I remember vividly the first video I watched. It was a film theory video on what really saved Snow White. That first encounter sparked an enduring love for his content, leading me to follow the launches of two more channels - food theory and style theory. My friends and I are not alone in our admiration for MatPat; he holds a special place in millions of hearts worldwide.

MatPat is more than just another content creator; he is a pioneer who has shaped YouTube's landscape. His innovative approach to theories has made him one of the most recognized YouTubers globally, influencing countless individuals with his thought-provoking content.

On March 9th, MatPat will retire from creating the videos that have been integral parts of our lives for years. To honor his significant impact and remarkable career, we propose establishing this date as National MatPat Day—a day dedicated to celebrating the legacy he leaves behind.

We believe this recognition is an appropriate tribute to someone who has touched so many lives through his work—someone like MatPat deserves nothing less than having a day named after him.

If anyone deserves a day, it’s MatPat. His dedication to education through media such as games, film, food, and fashion has shown a bright light on many people’s lives. His videos educate and entertain. Honoring him and his legacy is an important step as we move to a new chapter of the theorist channels. As amazing new hosts come to the forefront, it’s important to remember MatPat, the man who has been at the center for over a decade.
