I am deeply moved by the conditions of animals in factory farms. As someone who believes that every living being deserves a good life, it is heartbreaking to see how these animals are treated. They deserve better, especially considering they ultimately become our food.

Factory farming is notorious for its cruel and inhumane practices. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), over 99% of farm animals in the U.S. are raised in factory farms, often under distressing conditions (ASPCA). These animals are confined to small spaces, denied natural behaviors, and subjected to painful procedures without anesthetic.

We must advocate for change and demand humane treatment of these animals. We need laws that ensure adequate living space, access to outdoors or environmental enrichments, natural light cycle exposure and prohibition of painful procedures without pain management or anesthesia.
