My partner and I are long-term residents of Gilgal. My partner has walking difficulties, and the constant challenge of finding a suitable and near parking space poses an undue hardship. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to relocate to another home with dedicated parking. Once, local residents could use a nearby car park for free, but that privilege no longer exists.

This issue affects not only us, but many other residents. The lack of free resident parking also deters potential newcomers who might enrich our community. In a nationwide survey, 30% of renters expressed reluctance to live in areas without free parking, according to the National Renters Association.

We ask our local authorities to institute free parking in Gilgal for long-term residents. This measure would alleviate unnecessary hardship for residents, make our community more attractive to prospective homeowners and renters, and generate goodwill among local constituents.
