जो भारत का तीसरा सबसे अधिक आबादी वाला राज्य है—आज भी गल्फ देशों (सऊदी अरब, यूएई, क़तर, ओमान, बहरीन आदि) से डायरेक्ट इंटरनेशनल फ्लाइट से वंचित है। यह केवल यात्रा-सुविधा का विषय नहीं, बल्कि रोज़गार, पर्यटन, निवेश और मानवीय गरिमा से जुड़ा राष्ट्रीय महत्व का मुद्दा है।

यदि बिहार को गल्फ देशों से डायरेक्ट कनेक्टिविटी मिलती है, तो इससे प्रत्यक्ष रूप से सैकड़ों नए रोज़गार (एयरपोर्ट ऑपरेशंस, ग्राउंड हैंडलिंग, कार्गो, हॉस्पिटैलिटी, ट्रांसपोर्ट) और अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से लाखों लोगों (होटल, टैक्सी, छोटे व्यवसाय, सप्लाई चेन) को लाभ मिलेगा। साथ ही, गल्फ में कार्यरत लाखों बिहारी श्रमिकों व प्रोफेशनल्स का समय, खर्च और शारीरिक-मानसिक दबाव कम होगा—जो उत्पादकता और परिवारिक स्थिरता दोनों को बढ़ाएगा।

I have seen, experienced, and lived through the hardship caused by the lack of direct international flights from Bihar. For years, I have watched families, workers, professionals, elderly parents, and small children endure exhausting journeys—spending 15 to 20 extra hours—and significant money, just to reach or return home. Imagine missing critical family moments or losing potential career opportunities because of inefficient connectivity.

Bihar is home to a significant number of people working in the Gulf countries. These individuals greatly contribute to both the economy of their homeland and the Gulf nations through their hard work in various sectors. Despite this, the absence of direct flights between Bihar and Gulf countries continues to place an unnecessary burden on them and their families.

Currently, travelers must endure multi-stop journeys with extensive layovers, primarily via airports in New Delhi or Mumbai, costing them extra time, effort, and money. This is not just an inconvenience but a major hurdle impacting people's lives and relationships.

Introducing direct flights will not only ease the lives of countless families but also foster stronger economic and cultural ties between Bihar and the Gulf nations. Additionally, it has the potential to boost tourism, making Bihar more accessible to international visitors wishing to explore its historical and cultural heritage.

It is high time the concerned authorities and airline companies recognize the pressing need for direct air connectivity between Bihar and the Gulf countries. Such a step will be a testament to the recognition of Bihar's significant contribution to workforce mobility and will enhance the ease of travel for thousands of people.
