I am an avid gamer from South Africa, and like many others in my country, I suffer from a high ping lag of 130. This significantly hampers our gaming experience and enjoyment. The cause of this issue lies in the lack of dedicated servers for Epic Games in South Africa.

Epic Games is a renowned global gaming company that hosts popular games like Fortnite, which has over 350 million registered users worldwide. However, despite its global reach and popularity, there are no dedicated servers for players based in South Africa. As a result, we are forced to connect to European servers which results in high latency issues.

The introduction of local servers would drastically improve the gaming experience for thousands of gamers across the country by reducing latency issues and providing smoother gameplay. It's not just about better performance; it's about fairness too. High ping rates put us at a disadvantage against players with lower pings.

We understand that establishing new server infrastructure is not an easy task but given the large number of active gamers in our region who regularly play Epic Games titles - it's both necessary and justified.

We urge Epic Games to acknowledge this issue that affects so many loyal fans here in South Africa by establishing dedicated local servers to improve our gaming experience.
