At their last meeting, Greater Dandenong Council accepted our petition to establish an LGBTIQA+ Advisory Group!

As a result, Council is engaging with a number of regional stakeholders to investigate options for an LGBTIQA+ Council Advisory Committee or a Regional Network, which would encompass a variety of stakeholders including neighbouring Councils, local organisations, and community members.

This review is underway and we understand that recommendations will be made in time to enable appropriate resource allocations in the next Council budget.

Once community support for a new advisory body is identified, an Action Plan and associated resources will be considered by Council.
