Personally, upon my visit to Erie, PA last summer, I couldn't help but notice the potential benefits that an automated elevated metro line (or two), akin to Honolulu’s Skyline, could bring. While it may seem ambitious to aspire to create such transportation infrastructure in a smaller city like Erie, the benefits of implementing such a system would be immense.

Honolulu's Skyline is a prime example of how a city can be transformed with such infrastructure. While I've never visited Honolulu, I continually hear about how this rapid transit line has drastically curtailed air pollution and traffic congestion in the city. The Skyline, despite being in a larger city, gives us a benchmark to strive for.

Erie, like any city, faces its own unique traffic and transportation challenges. An elevated metro line (or two), running efficiently above the roads, would streamline commuting times, reduce carbon emissions and open up far-reaching areas of the city economically. Ultimately, it would provide an efficient alternative to buses and help reduce our reliance on private transport.

With this petition, we propose the establishment of an automated elevated metro line or two in Erie, herewith referred to as 'Erie Metro', to test for viability and begin necessary planning.

This project is not too big of a dream. Yes, Erie may not be as large as Honolulu, but its residents deserve the same opportunity for efficient, clean transit solutions. Your signature can push the Erie city council towards a forward-thinking, sustainable future.
