The Issue

Our household is struggling at the moment without a vehicle. We're having to walk everywhere, whether it's for groceries, attending school, or seeking medical attention. When the kids are unwell or need to visit urgent care for non-emergencies, they have to walk there, which is quite a burden on them, especially when they don't feel well. Getting essential medicines also means a long walk to the pharmacy. Grocery shopping feels like a herculean task as we have to walk to Walmart and carry all items back home. If the kids miss the school bus, it means walking each child to their respective schools, often making them late with no alternative options.

Lacking accessible transportation not only affects us but many families in our community. A community-centric transportation system would be a lifeline, enabling smoother daily operations for many of us. An affordable option like this would ensure seamless mobility for basic errands, improve attendance and punctuality for school-going children, and grant easy access to community events. Imagine being able to take part in events, socialize, and engage with the community without the stress of traveling by foot for every need.

Let's propose an affordable local transportation system with a minimal fee of $1.00 per pickup, along with an option for donations. The money raised from this initiative can be funneled back into the community to improve amenities like parks and recreational facilities, enhancing our living experience.

Implementing this will not only ease our day-to-day life challenges but will also foster stronger community ties, make resources accessible to everyone, and enhance the quality of life for all residents. Sign this petition if you believe in making transportation accessible and affordable for everyone in our community.
