I am a student at the middle school known as The STEM Academy at Bartlett. A group I founded has been discussing the establishment of a student council for the school. This petition is for anyone but especially students, and we ask you to sign this so that these students can vote on their own behalf. This will help all students here be represented in the school decisions. If we win, we get representation in the school, if we lose, we are forced into situations we do not want. The power right now is in the principal, vice principal, and a group of parents. We wish to add students to this list. This will let students lead fundraising events for the school, and give them an important introduction to leadership positions.
