Our experience showed us that strays should also be treated the same as other bought animals. They deserve love, care, and safety just like any other pet. Unfortunately, in our town of Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, stray animals are scattered with no proper shelter to protect them.

The situation is dire; according to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), there are millions of stray dogs alone in the country. These animals face numerous challenges daily such as lack of food and water, exposure to harsh weather conditions and diseases.

We believe that establishing a shelter for these strays in Aliaga would significantly improve their living conditions while also addressing public health concerns related to uncontrolled animal populations. A shelter would provide these animals with basic necessities like food and medical care while also offering them an opportunity for adoption into loving homes.

We urge our local government officials to take action on this matter immediately. Let's give these innocent creatures the chance they deserve at life by providing them with a safe haven where they can thrive until they find their forever home.
