Establish a Public Park or School Dedicated to Therians and Furries in Virginia

Establish a Public Park or School Dedicated to Therians and Furries in Virginia
The Issue
I am a therian and furry, part of a community that often feels misunderstood and unsupported. Many of us struggle with acceptance from family or peers, leaving us longing for spaces where we can express our unique identities freely. We need places where we can connect with others like us, feel wild, and be ourselves without judgment. What better place than a public park or school dedicated to therians and furries?
In the state of Virginia alone, there are thousands of individuals who identify as therians or furries (source: Furry Fandom Community Surveys). Yet, there is no dedicated public space for this vibrant community to gather during the summer months. This lack of representation is not just an oversight; it's an opportunity missed for fostering understanding and acceptance within our broader society.
We propose the establishment of such a space in Virginia - accessible to all regardless of their location - that would serve as both an oasis for those within the furry and therian community and an educational resource for those outside it.
This petition isn't just about creating another park or school; it's about recognizing diversity, promoting inclusivity, fostering understanding between different communities, and providing support where it's most needed.
Please sign this petition if you believe in creating safe spaces for all communities including therians/furries. Your signature could make all the difference in turning this dream into reality!
