The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted our lives in many ways, one of the most notable being its impact on our collective health and fitness. Lack of exercise and the resulting decline in public health has reached concerning levels. We discovered, however, an unexpected beacon of hope in the midst of these trying times: the game of Pickleball. Its popularity has soared like no other sport, and it has proven to be a powerful tool in getting us back on track to a healthier life.

Introducing a Pickleball court to our beloved Wales community park could be exactly what we need to promote a more health-conscious culture in our area. Our community and its surrounding regions have much to gain from this addition. Hence, I am petitioning for the installation of a Pickleball court at the Wales community park. It's not just about adding another sport to our community; it's about improving our collective wellbeing, fitness levels, and fostering a sense of unity in these challenging times.

As per the Sports and Fitness Industry Association, Pickleball participation increased by 21.3% in 2020 compared to the previous year - a testament to its widespread allure and potential role in promoting health and fitness. The positive impact that Pickleball could potentially have on our town is immense. Let's seize this opportunity and advocate for the introduction of a Pickleball court in our community park.
