I believe that every woman deserves the opportunity to make informed choices about her fertility. 

For many women, deciding when to have children isn't always straightforward. Whether it's because of career goals, financial circumstances, not having found the right partner, or simply not feeling ready, life doesn't always follow the timeline we might have imagined for ourselves. Yet, as we get older, our fertility changes, and the options available to us can become more limited.

Egg freezing offers women the opportunity to preserve their fertility and keep the possibility of having biological children open for the future. For some, it can provide peace of mind and a little more time to figure things out on their own terms. However, the reality is that egg freezing can be incredibly expensive, putting it out of reach for many women who could benefit from it.

I believe that a woman's financial situation shouldn't determine the choices she has about her reproductive future.

That's why I would love to establish a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping women access egg freezing through financial assistance, regardless of their financial circumstances.  This organisation could help ease the financial burden and make fertility preservation a more realistic option for more women.

Depending on available funding and individual circumstances, assistance could help cover some of the costs associated with:

• Initial fertility consultations and assessments.
• Prescribed ovarian stimulation medication.
• Egg retrieval, including associated laboratory and hospital fees.
• Ongoing egg storage costs.

With the support of this petition, we can raise awareness and rally for the establishment of a non-profit that addresses these fertility challenges. This organisation would hopefully not only provide financial support but also offer educational resources and emotional support, empowering women to make the best decisions for their unique circumstances.
