I have always loved the sport of volleyball. But my efforts to pursue this activity are halted due to the fact that the Bennington District has no men's volleyball team for me to join. This restricts my access to joining a activity in our school that interest me, resulting in a less interactive school experience for not only me, but many others.

The need of having a men's volleyball team in Bennington is crucial. With the popularity of volleyball actively growing, and the increasing rate of young men who would love to play the sport is important to look into. Volleyball helps people with their physical health, mental health, reaction times, and a community of players who share similar interests. Without looking at these aspects into consideration, we are missing many opportunities.  In addition, having a men's volleyball team in Bennington High School would help promote inclusivity, opportunity, and has opportunities to generate revenue for the Bennington District.

To make this happen, we ask that Bennington High School's administration consider these points and add some funding and resources to establish a men's volleyball team by next year.   There is a lot of room for opportunity; we can create promotions and partnerships with other schools that already have this sport for men available.  I believe that this investment into our school will rise quickly and pay off as it promotes school spirit, engages students, and teaches good sportsmanship across our school.
