According to studies from reputable bodies like the Local Government Association, councils that encourage direct public participation see not only a decrease in civic dissatisfaction but also an increase in public trust and engagement. These improvements can lead to better societal outcomes such as economic growth, improved public services, and a stronger community. We are capable of making this change. We have the power to push for a system of governance that aligns with the principles of democracy in its truest sense.
