I am part of the vibrant community at Fayetteville State University, a campus teaming with undiscovered basketball talent. The creation of a Junior Varsity (JV) basketball team would be instrumental in cultivating skills among students and preparing those players to move up to the varsity level, further elevating our proud sports culture. However, such an initiative is currently lacking.

Research conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) indicates that JV teams are effective in bridging the gap between high school and university-level sports, enabling a smoother transition and skill enhancement for athletes (NCAA, 2019). The talent on campus deserves this chance, and with your support, we can make this happen.

There’s potential and ambition in every corner of our campus.
