My wife and her family are of Filipino descent They were thrilled when a new Jollibee restaurant opened in the Detroit metro. The joy and cultural connection it brought to them is something I wish to bring to the residents of Kansas City as well.

Jollibee is more than just a fast-food chain; it's a symbol of home for many Filipinos living abroad. The Philippines' largest fast food chain has over 1,300 stores worldwide but none yet in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area (source: Jollibee company data). This leaves our city's growing Filipino community, which numbers over 4,000 according to recent census data (source: U.S Census Bureau), without this beloved taste of home.

The establishment of a Jollibee restaurant here would not only provide an authentic culinary experience for all residents but also contribute positively to our local economy through job creation and increased tourism.
