It is plain as day. There is major corruption at play. The emergency shelters being run by charities are not suffice. The biggest question out there is simple. Where is all of the money going? This and curiosity about how there can be so many donations flooding in, yet none of the local homeless population can find clothing or social services. It is pretty difficult to find and keep a job that will provide you with sustainability when you do not have the basic necessities such as clean clothes, a shower, a full stomach, or disability rights. It is outright bullying. What kind of grown adult can put down or take advantage of another for being down on their luck. This is not grade school anymore people! We need to speak up and know that we are doing the right thing. No one can shut us down for having concern. The biggest problem here is that the homelessness crisis worsens by the day. Almost every evening at nightfall, there are more numbers tacking on to the thousands without shelter and without warm clothing. The numerous problems that arise include illegal encampments, substance abuse, and even violent attacks. It is time to take a step back and think. What can we do? We can remain positive and know that all of the hate is only raising awareness. We can contribute to the awareness by being kind and welcoming to others who seek to help during these trying times. Check on those who support you during this time and make sure that they are in the right place for themselves. You cannot help someone else when you are not being taken care of!
