We did it!!!

Greetings Muscle Aficionados!
It’s official, Muscle is back at the Biophysical Society!
Thanks to you we’ve reached our signature goal and have received the official go-ahead to start a new “Muscle Dynamics and Structure” Subgroup at Biophysical Society!!!
I am currently discussing next steps with the Biophysical Society to get us ready for our debut session at the 2027 Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society in Philadelphia Feb 20-24, 2027. Save the date and look forward to more updates from me as our new home for all things Muscle Dynamics and Structure takes shape.
In the meantime, we can all ensure a robust representation of Muscle topics sooner at the 2026 Annual meeting in San Francisco (Feb 21-25, 2026) by submitting an abstract this week by Oct 1, 2025. Remember, the number and content of the platform sessions at the 2026 meeting is directly determined by the number and content of abstracts submitted. For every 30-40 abstracts submitted, 1 platform session is scheduled. So, it’s simple: to see more Muscle talks, we need to submit more Muscle abstracts! Now is the time to act to ensure a robust return of Muscle topics at the 2026 meeting as we ramp up to our inaugural 2027 Subgroup of Muscle Dynamics and Structure!
Thanks to all of you for making new Muscle Subgroup possible and for continuing to keep the Biophysical Society our professional home for presenting cutting edge Muscle research!
