Almost there!

Greetings Muscle Aficionados! 

This is just a quick update to thank you for your support and to let you know that we need only a handful more of signatures from regular and early career members of the Biophysical Society to found a new Muscle Subgroup at the Biophysical Society (BPs)!!  Interest in the new subgroup has been overwhelming with over 270 signatures obtained so far and >90 of those from active BPS members.  We need the latter number to reach >100 to qualify for a new subgroup at the Society, although the BPS is encouraged by the high level of enthusiasm we are gleaning from members and non-members alike.  

What can you do to help?  Distribute this petition to any of your colleagues who might have missed it the first time around and to anyone who might be interested in learning more about Muscle biophysics through the new subgroup.  Now is the time for your vote to count!!

Once we reach the required number of signatures then I will update everyone with details for nominations and elections for our first Muscle Subgroup meeting to take place at the 2027 Biophysical Society Meeting.
