My friends and I have a passion for volleyball. It's a sport we love and devote much of our spare time to. However, our limited venue options and lack of organized competition restrict our ability to truly develop our skills. Combined with the fact that there is no opportunity for us to participate in a team until high school, it feels as though our formative years are being underutilized.

This is not just a story about a few volleyball enthusiasts. Studies show that children who participate in organized sports from a young age exhibit higher self-esteem, healthier lifestyles, and stronger leadership skills. Middle school is a perfect period for students to identify their interests and talents in different fields, including sports like volleyball. 

Therefore, we are petitioning the county school board to acknowledge our request to establish a county-wide middle school volleyball league. With this in place, we would have the opportunity to play this sport we are passionate about on a competitive level much earlier. By doing so, we truly believe that the potential of the county's young talent can be unlocked and nurtured to a greater extent. Not only that, we can raise school spirit and establish connection with our schools. Volleyball also has a low injury rate, and low equipment cost.

Our collective dream is to make a county-wide middle school volleyball league a reality, where everyone can have an opportunity to experience, learn, and fall in love with this wonderful sport at a young age.
