I am a pet parent like many others in Lonavala who have known the fear and distress of having a sick pet in the middle of the night, without any access to veterinary medical assistance. Just recently, my dog exhibited paralytic symptoms and I was panicked, making numerous calls to vets, only to have no one pick up. This event was a terrible echo of a friend's experience, whose dog was lost to a fever because there was no open vet during the night. This is not just about me and my friend: countless pet owners across Lonavala have had similar stories of rescuing and struggling to care for their pets.

Lonavala, one of the biggest tourism spots in Maharashtra, is currently left with no 24/7 veterinary hospitals. This shortage does not just impact the town's pet owners, but also the many animals who inhabit the area. As such, we are requesting that the Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department establish a permanent, 24/7 veterinary hospital in Lonavala to address this significant gap in animal care. Not only would it save countless pet lives - it would also significantly reduce the distress and panic experienced by pet owners across the town.
