On June 1st, 2021 plainclothes cops racially profiled and attacked the Rodwell/ Spivey brothers outside of their home. The cops accused them of having a gun. As the cops began to physically attack the two brothers, their other brothers came out to defend them. They didn't know that they were cops because they were in an unmarked car and weren't in uniforms. Also, none of them had a gun on them so there was no reason for an arrest. While the head of the police union claims that the police were "attacked by a mob" the reality was that the brothers were the ones thrown to the ground and physically attacked.

Two days later, Newark PD invaded the family's home while the boys were locked up. Pointing guns at the family while they were still sleeping and destroying the insulin of the grandson staying with the family, they sent a message that the police are allowed to do what they want to Black and Latin families. Now it is our turn to send a message. Join our movement against racial profiling and police terror. Three of the four brothers are currently out but Justin is still being held at the Essex County Detention Center.
