Cllr Lewis Barber made a very good point in the Gazette article on 22nd December that “Essex Highways and the planning teams at both Essex County Council and Suffolk County Council will still need to justify replacement and widening when an independent survey commissioned by Essex Highways concluded refurbishment was a safe option".
