George Double's house in Southwold

The 1881 Census records George Double's wife Emma living at 32 Victoria Street, Southwold with her nephew Frederick Joseph Laws. This would have been a convenient location for the family whilst her husband built the Blyth Bridge in 1879 for the Southwold Railway Co under the chairmanship of Richard Rapier.  It was also close to Martyn Lodge, Southwold of which George Double was a Founding Member in 1882 until his death in Ipswich in 1916.
